For starters, let me introduce myself. My name is Raihana Hussain. I am a librarian by day and a mother all day, everyday. I was a secondary school teacher prior to taking up librarianship and was a community development officer even before that. I graduated from the National University of Singapore in Psychology and Political Science about 8 years ago.
This blog started as a brainchild of one of my colleagues who suggested that the children's librarians share the knowledge that we gained through our work and individual experiences with you - the public as well as professionals in the related fields. Since most of us are online anyway, I thought, this will be a good platform to encourage a flow of ideas and knowledge from both sides.
Together with a few of my colleagues, we have collaborated to bring you the posts that you see in this blog on a voluntary basis. Some of them reflective and some informative, we hope that you would be able to get some take away from our sharing and hopefully, share what you know with us in return.
Should you need to contact any of my colleagues or myself, please email me at jlibrarians@ymail.com and I will try to reply you as soon as I can.
Yours truly
Raihana
